Getting to Know Me

Heyy guys! Just wanted to re-introduce myself as I have some new friends following my blog! (If you're on IG, you've already seen this post.) I'm a wedding and lifestyle photographer newly based out of Renton, WA. (Hello PNW!) My inspiration comes from traveling, exploring the great outdoors, pretty light and humans just being humans.

I like food. A lot. I'm not kidding when I say eating is one of my favorite hobbies. Dining out, trying new foods, wines and good company is my favorite way to unwind. (Oh and despite all the good foods I've enjoyed, nachos are one of my favorite meals ever).

At heart, I'm a total introvert. The listener of the group, always being told I'm so quiet. And I can be quiet, unless you get me on a topic I'm super passionate about. Somehow, when I roll up to a photo session though, I can channel the energies around me to connect with people and be awkward and chatty along with the best of them! Weirdo, I know...

Fun fact: I played the bass drum in marching band during high school. What's more fun? Picturing that enormous drum on my small 5'2" frame with a blue-feathered cowboy hat on my head. 😳

Because my mom still has photos of me looking embarrassed away on that drum line, I can look back and laugh at those memories, still feeling the emotions I felt then (πŸ™ˆ). Which is why I love the power of photography! One single photo can totally take you back and help others learn so much about you. This is huge for your children and grandchildren especially, to know who you were. Little moments, big events, & everything in between - I like to capture both.

Thanks for reading this, if you made it through. I'm so glad you're here & want to get to know you. What are some of your most embarrassing photos that your mom or bff insists on showing off?
